Spikes tops Super Pro for first Commerce 2020 win

Susan Spikes recorded her first Super Pro victory of the season in Summit ET Drag Racing Series competition on Saturday at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia.

The two-time track champion drove her 2001 Undercover Dragster to the win over Blaine Mayer’s 2003 Mullis Dragster in the division final.

Spikes, who hails from Commerce, Georgia, dialed in on a 4.98 and ran a 5.007 ET at 133.63 MPH and a 0.005 reaction time. Blaine dialed in on a 4.70 and ran a 4.693 (break out) at 146.67 MPH and a 0.051 reaction.

Other winners on the day included Toby Barnes in Pro, Tim Keeton in Sportsman, Hayden Wilson in JR Street, Tim Sutton in Super Pro Bike, Jason Johnson in 5-9 JR Dragster, Hayden Land in 10-12 JR Dragster and Jacob Wilson in 13-17 JR Dragster.
