Demonstrators say they will protest Eric Trump appearance in Forsyth County today

Evangelicals for Trump plans a full schedule of activities today for its "Praise, Prayer and Patriotism" event in Forsyth County, but demonstrators have also planned to show up to protest the appearance of Eric Trump, a son of President Donald Trump.

A statement issued Monday from Indivisible Lumpkin said protesters will visit in a car caravan outside Reid Barn on Majors Road in Cumming. They plan to line up at 11 a.m. to protest what they call "the abysmal failures of the Trump administration.

"With nearly 200,000 Americans dead from a preventable pandemic, raging wildfires from unchecked climate change, and vile human rights abuses such as mass sterilizations in ICE detention facilities, it’s crucial that any visit by Trump or his campaign does not go unchallenged," the statement said.

The event itself is scheduled to start at 11:30 a.m. In addition to an appearance by Eric Trump, attendees will hear speeches from Dr. Alveda King, Pastor Jentezen Franklin of Free Chapel Worship Center and other pastors who support President Trump's re-election effort.
