Buford Dam Road will close for roadway maintenance at 9 a.m. Wednesday, also prompting the closure of five parks in the area, according to a press release from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
The parks that will close include Lower Pool East, Lower Overlook, Lower Pool West, West Bank Turn-Out and West Bank. All five parks have an entrance on Buford Dam Road.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers recommends using Highway 20 as an alternate route while the maintenance is underway. The roadway maintenance is expected to last until 5 p.m., according to the press release.
