GAINESVILLE — White County exploded for five runs in the top of the eighth inning to take a key road win, 6-1, over North Hall, in Region 7-3A action Thursday.
It was a tight pitcher's duel throughout as White County scored a run on an error in the first, North Hall answered with a run in the fourth on a RBI double from Sam Rooker. It stayed that way until the Lady Warriors' big inning in extra frames.
Annika Vandiver got the win for White County in the circle going the distance allowing just one run on two hits while striking out seven. Vandiver also had a huge two-run RBI hit in the eighth inning.
Bre Stowers took the loss for North Hall, also going the distance allowing six runs on seven hits and striking out two.

East Hall also used a 10-run third inning en route to a Region 8-4 win at Talon Field.
Calli Hardison and Callie Dale each had two hits and Makayla Hunt had a RBI in the big inning. Brooke Hewell and Lizzy Davis also had hits to go with walks to Gracie Ausborn and Alexis Burce.
Hardison and Maggie Banks combined for the shutout in the circle.
Morgan Hunt took the loss for Chestatee. Hunt also had a hit for Chestatee.

LANIER 3
The Lady Raiders continued to stay near the top of the Region 8-6A standings after knocking off Lanier at home.
They trailed 2-0 early but used a three-run second inning to grab the lead for good.
Kilee Thomas had two hits and three RBI and scored twice to lead the offense. Kelsey Banks had three hits for Habersham Central.
Kyla Quiles got the win for the Lady Raiders allowing three runs on four hits and fanned six.
