The Sportsman division final came down to a showdown between a pair of Chevy Camaros on Saturday, with Bill Bramlett getting the win in Summit ET Drag Racing Series action at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia.
Bramlett, a native of Commerce, piloted his 2001 Camaro to the win over Rich Arbitelle in his 1987 Camaro.
Bramlett dialed in on a 11.74 and ran a dead-on 11.744 ET at 115.57 MPH and a 0.020 reaction. Arbitelle dialed in on a 17.38 and ran a (break-out) 17.279 ET at 79.97 MPH and a 0.032 reaction.
Other winners on the day included Hank Wilhelm in Super Pro, Matt Ward in Pro, Jayton Duggar in JR Street, Tim Sutton in Motorcycle, Corey Reed in 5-9 JR Dragster, Shawn Wilson in 10-12 JR Dragster and Cannon Stiles in 13-17 JR Dragster.
