Two men are dead and a third has been hospitalized after being found on a boat at an island on Lake Lanier Saturday.

According to a release from the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, the three men, who were reportedly related, had planned to spend the night Friday on the boat. When family members found them the following morning, two of the men were unresponsive and the other was disoriented.

The two men who died have been identified as 22-year-old Scott Landeck and 31-year-old Brian Landeck, both of Cumming.

The boat was towed to Mary Alice Park in Cumming and the man who was still alive was taken to the hospital for treatment of carbon monoxide exposure. The sheriff's office said a generator was found in the boat uncovered, allowing exhaust to fill the cabin the men were sleeping in.

The case is still being investigated.
