An incident that unfolded just after 10 p.m. Thursday in a neighborhood in the northern part of Forsyth County ended without injury after an all-night standoff.

A post on the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Facebook page advised neighbors to shelter in place when SWAT officers were called to the scene.
After several hours, the barricaded person was taken into custody. A second social media post said the person was found inside the home in close proximity to an AR-15 rifle. It was unclear if there were other people inside the residence.
Detectives and crime scene technicians at last report were still processing the scene.
