After serving four years as the Senior Pastor of Gainesville First United Methodist Church, Rev. Scott Hearn has a new assignment. Hearn has been appointed as Senior Pastor for Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church in Augusta. His last Sunday at Gainesville FUMC will be July 26.
Bishop Sue Haupert-Johnson of the North Georgia Conference has appointed Rev. Mike Morgan to take the leadership reins for the Gainesville congregation. Morgan will move to Gainesville from Greensboro First United Methodist Church in east Georgia. His first Sunday at Gainesville FUMC will be September 6, 2020, which is Labor Day Sunday.
