Gainesville church hosting drop-off for donations to food bank Saturday

A food drive is underway at First Baptist Church in Gainesville to replenish the pantry at the Georgia Mountain Food Bank.

The food bank was hit hard when the COVID-19 pandemic struck North Georgia, impacting their food donation collections and what they were able to put out. A previous story on the virus and the food bank can be found here.

Donations are being accepted at the church until 1 p.m.

Donations can be made at a later date to the food bank in a variety of ways, and are not just limited too food. Donors can also offer monetary donations or their time. More about donations can be found here.
