Overnight lane closures will continue on Ga. 369 this week as part of the Browns Bridge replacement project.
A single lane will be closed at the project on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., the Georgia Department of Transportation said. Traffic control measures will be in place to guide traffic from one side of the bridge to the other.
This project replaces the existing structure that carries traffic over Lake Lanier with a new bridge featuring two 12-foot lanes and 8-foot shoulders. The project was awarded to Scott Bridge Company, Inc. in October 2017 for approximately $28 million.
The DOT said much progress has been made on the project since last summer when rain and higher lake levels put the project in a slump. The project is expected to be completed in April 2021.
