CLEVELAND – White County Sheriff's Office and other agencies are continuing to investigate the attempted break-in at a large firearms store in the southern part of the county.

Deputies responded to Gun Commanders on Ga. 11/U.S. 129 south of Cleveland around 6 a.m. Tuesday, where a stolen vehicle was used in the attempted burglary, said White County Sheriff’s Capt. Clay Hammond.

Hammond said investigators are not releasing a lot of details in the case due to the ongoing investigation by the sheriff’s office, other local agencies and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

The stolen vehicle involved has since been recovered, Hammond said. Investigators are continuing to follow up leads.

Anyone with information in the case can contact White County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 865-5177.
