Atlanta Falcons 2020 schedule released

By AccessWDUN Staff

The National Football League released the 2020 season schedule Thursday.

As usual, the Falcons will go up against the NFC South, playing both road and home games against their divisional counterparts. Also, eight of Atlanta’s 16 games will be filled out by teams from the NFC North and AFC West. Atlanta will face off against the Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks because of the teams’ second-place finishes in their divisions in 2019.

The Falcons have two primetime games this season, including a Monday Night Football game at the Green Bay Packers and a Thursday Night Football Game at the Carolina Panthers. This will be the 27th game the franchise has played on Monday, winning the last five matchups. Atlanta has played 16 Thursday games and with a record of 8-8 in its history.

The NFL also released preseason opponents Thursday. Atlanta will face Miami (Pre Week 1) and Cincinnati (Pre Week 3 – Aug. 28 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS) at Mercedes-Benz Stadium and travel to Buffalo (Pre Week 2) and Jacksonville (Pre Week 4). A full preseason schedule with dates and times will be released later in May.

Once again, 92.9 The Game will serve as the Falcons radio broadcast partner for the 2020 season. All 20 Falcons games (preseason and regular season) can be heard on 92.9 The Game (92.9 FM), with Wes Durham and Dave Archer calling the action.

Starting this season, the Falcons partnered with WAGA-TV (FOX 5 Atlanta) as the team’s new television broadcast partner. FOX 5 will locally broadcast three of the Falcons preseason games and 13 of the Falcons regular season games.
