RABBITTOWN — East Hall High School Athletic Director Adam Rich announced Wednesday that Sita Preston will be the new girls soccer coach for the Lady Vikings moving into the 2020-21 season.

Former head coach Bryan Holyfield will transition full-time to boys assistant, a role he previously filled while leading the Lady Vikings Program.

Preston previously coached basketball, soccer, and volleyball at Stephens County.

“I truly believe that coaching is more than teaching the fundamentals of the sport,” Preston said. “Coaching is building relationships with student athletes. I hope to impact student-athletes’ lives in a positive way. Although I am going to sorely miss my athletes and the truest bonds I formed at Stephens County, I am so looking forward to building new relationships and new beginnings here at East Hall.”

Rich is excited about having Preston join the Vikings coaching staff.

“Coach Preston is going to play an important role in our math department, the girls’ soccer program, and the volleyball program--as an assistant coach," Rich said. "She is a great character builder who truly understands all aspects of the game--when it comes to fundamentals and overall scheme. I am excited for her to begin building relationships with our girls!”

Joining Preston on the soccer staff will be Sylvia Puckett from Gainesville Middle School. Puckett played in the Gainesville area and was the head coach at Gainesville Middle School.

“Coach Puckett is an exciting addition to our staff,” Rich said. “We are impressed with her dedication and commitment to her craft as a teacher and a coach. We know she will have a big impact at East Hall.”
