Good News Clinics in Gainesville will be the site of a COVID-19 screening event Tuesday afternoon and evening specifically for those in the community who are uninsured or who do not have a regular source of healthcare.
"The goal is to reach many of those at-risk people in lower socioeconomic demographic, since our data shows the virus has disproportionately affected them," said Sean Couch with Northeast Georgia Health System. NGHS and Goods News Clinics are partnering for the free event, which is scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. at the clinic building at 810 Pine Street in Gainesville.
Couch said there is no need to make an appointment.
Tests will be administered as long as the kits are available.
