Sixth Coronavirus death reported in Hall

A sixth reported Coronavirus-related death in Hall County was reported Saturday.

The number of cases in Hall County has risen to 607. Overall, there have been 22 deaths from the virus reported in northeast Georgia with deaths also being reported in Forsyth, Barrow, Jackson, Dawson, Habersham, Stephens and Union counties.

Saturday's numbers did show a slower climb in new cases statewide than earlier in the week. Only 409 new cases were reported in Georgia compared to more than 1,000 on Friday. Four new deaths were reported.

The state totals are now 17,841 cases and 677 deaths.

The Georgia Department of Public Health provides the latest Coronavirus statistics at noon and 7:00 p.m. each day.
