Gainesville police search for armed robbery suspect

By AccessWDUN staff

An armed man held up a Waffle House in east Gainesville early Wednesday, police said.

No one was injured when a man wearing a trench coat, gloves and a facemask entered the restaurant on Pentee Drive, where he robbed an employee at gunpoint.

Police brought in K-9 units to help search for the robber, but it was unsuccessful.

The investigation is continuing, and police hope to release more details later today.
