As another week of "work from home" for Gainesville city school students begins, the school system is planning some revisions to its meal delivery program.
According to the system's weekly newsletter, "Food Services will continue at the designated locations on March 30 through April 3. No meals will be served during Spring Break (April 6 - 10), allowing cafeteria workers and bus drivers time with their families."
Beginning Monday, April 13, student meals will be provided two days per week, Monday and Tuesday.
Monday's deliveries will include breakfast and lunch for Monday and Tuesday. Tuesday deliveries will include breakfast and lunch for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Buses will deliver meals from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the following locations:
Budgetel Inn and Suites
Harrison Square Apartments
Indigo Apartments (formerly Orchard Brook)
Lake Forrest Apartments
Legacy at Lanier Apartments (formerly The Columns)
Melrose Community Apartments
The Peaks at Gainesville (formerly Lenox Park)
Ridgecrest Apartment Homes
Sycamore Ridge (formerly Vineyards)
The Gainesville Board of Education approved the meal delivery program March 17.
