Watermlon Capital Speedway at Crisp Motorsports Park is the latest Georgia raceway to see their season pushed back by concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic.
Officials at the Cordele, Georgia race track announced Friday via Facebook that their planned season opener, slated for this weekend, will now be scheduled for April 18.
The 3/8-mile asphalt speedway joins Winder-Barrow Speedway, Boyd’s Raceway and Senoia Raceway in postponing events due to the ongoing health crisis.
“Stay safe, and we look forward to seeing everyone,” the post on Watermelon Capital Speedway’s Facebook page read.
