MRN Radio to air past races during NASCAR shutdown

By Brandon Reed Reporter

With race fans looking for alternatives while NASCAR is shut down for the next several weeks due to the ongoing CORVID-19 pandemic, MRN Radio is looking to the past.

Over the next few weeks, MRN Radio will present “MRN Classic Races” for fans to listen to in place of the races that have been postponed on the NASCAR Cup Series schedule.

The races will be edited to a length of three hours, and will air on the same dates as the suspended events.  Each will start at 1 pm EST on MRN.com and on select MRN broadcast affiliates.

The first will be broadcast on Sunday, March 22, with the airing of the 2004 Ford 400 from Homestead-Miami Speedway.  That will be followed on April 19 with the 2009 Crown Royal 400 from Richmond Raceway.

One week later, it will be the 2011 Aaron's 499 from Talladega Superspeedway on April 26.  That's followed by the 2016 AAA Drive for Autism from Dover International Speedway on May 3.

While WDUN will not be airing these rebroadcasts, you will be able to listen in via MRN Radio’s website.
