Falcons agree to terms with DT Tyeler Davison

FLOWERY BRANCH — The Falcons have agreed to terms with defensive tackle Tyeler Davison on a three-year extension.

Last season, Davison played in 16 games with 12 starts in his first year with the Falcons, while totaling 55 combined stops, including four tackles for loss, one sack, two quarterback hits and one fumble recovery. The six-year pro recorded a career-high of seven tackles during Week 4 against the Tennessee Titans and in Week 14 he recovered a strip-sack that led to a 13-yard touchdown run by Devonta Freeman against the Carolina Panthers. 

The former fifth-round pick out of Fresno State played in 77 games with 60 starts recording 150 tackles (75 solo), 13 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks and 13 quarterback hits. He spent his first four seasons with the New Orleans Saints, where he posted 95 total tackles, along with 3.5 sacks and three forced fumbles.
