Ivester Foundation, Gainesville Schools agree to Teacher of the Year prize

By Alyson Shields Reporter

Officials from the Gainesville City School Board and the Ivester Foundation signed the paperwork Wednesday to award the city Teacher of the Year for the next nine years.

The award is identical to the award at Hall County Schools: $10,000 prize and honored at an annual luncheon.

The county had previously signed an agreement with the foundation when they honored Frank Zamora last year.
