61st Lanierland Tournament begins today at 11 a.m.

By Bo Wilson Sports Editor

The 61st Lanierland Tournament begins this morning at 11 when the Gainesville girls battle Cherokee Bluff. The tournament was moved up when the Johnson boys were forced to forfeit due to COVID-19 quarantines.

The Chestatee boys will advance to the semifinals because of the forfeit and get the winner of the Gainesville-Lakeview game.

With no fans in attendance, Jacobs Media will give basketball fans across northeast Georgia the opportunity to listen and watch every game of the 61st Lanierland Tournament. The opening round and semifinals will be broadcast live on 94.5 FM The Lake, streamed at accesswdun.com and via video webcast here.

AccessWDUN will have coverage of every game with stories, photos and video highlights.
