Jacobs Media will give basketball fans across northeast Georgia the opportunity to listen and watch every game of the 61st Lanierland Tournament.
Lanierland Tournament, set to begin on Monday at Gainesville High School, will be played without fans because of the ongoing pandemic and all contests will be played at Gainesville.
The opening round and semifinals will be broadcast live on 94.5 FM The Lake, streamed at accesswdun.com and via video webcast here.
The consolation games will be streamed live on accesswdun.com, and the finals will be broadcast live, as well as streamed, on WDUN AM 550/FM 102.9.
Last week, the tournament committee make the decision to close the gates to fans because of COVID-19. They released a statement citing health and safety reasons.
"Leadership from all three systems met this morning to discuss hosting the Lanierland Basketball Tournament under the challenging circumstances created by COVID-19," the committee statement said. "With the number of positive cases in the community on the rise, and with so many schools facing the challenge of maintaining in-person instruction, the agreement was reached that the tournament should proceed but with no spectators in attendance."
Because no fans are being allowed at the tournament, a digital copy of the 2020 Lanierland program can be seen here. Limited print copies of the magazine are available at WDUN's studios at 1102 Thompson Bridge Road
