UPDATE:
Water services have been restored and Alta Vista Road is expected to reopen by midnight.
ORIGINAL STORY:
After a main water break in Gainesville, water in the area of Alta Vista Road and John W. Morrow Jr. Parkway has been turned off, Gainesville Water Resources reported Tuesday afternoon.
The damage impacts shopping centers and standalone retail stores on either side of Alta Vista Road. It also impacts residences on Tower Heights Road. Around 100 customers are without water.
Crews are working to restore services as quickly as possible. Alta Vista is closed at John Morrow.
