A phone outage caused issues at Gainesville City government departments Thursday morning.
City spokeswoman Christina Santee says their communication provider has an outage in the area, which caused many calls in to city government to get varying error messages. It was restored around 2 p.m.
It was not clear which departments of divisions had been having problems.
