SNELLVILLE — The Chestatee girls stayed unbeaten with a 56-33 win over Class 7A South Gwinnett Tuesday on the road.
The Lady War Eagles (3-0) stormed out to an 11-4 lead after the first quarter and took a 33-13 lead into halftime. Emma Easterwood poured in 16 of her game-high 23 points in the first half.
Chestatee continued its strong play running out to a 46-24 advantage by the end of the third quarter.
Bowen Corley added 11 points and Logan Wiggins 10 points for the Lady War Eagles.
Chestatee next will open its Region 8-4A schedule at home on Friday against Flowery Branch.

Lumpkin County (3-3) had three players in double digits to shoot past Flowery Branch (1-4) on the road Tuesday.
Mary Mullinax scored 12 points, Averie Jones added 11, and Isabel Davenport had 10 points to lead the Lady Indians. Lexi Pierce added 8 points.

Naomi Roberts scored 17 points to lead the Lady Warriors (2-6, 1-0 Region 7-3A) over Dawson County (5-2, 0-1 Region 7-3A) on the road Tuesday.
Caitlyn Gailey added 14 points, and Maci Shelnut hit three 3-pointers in a 13-point performance.
