A Demorest man died when the utility vehicle he was driving crashed in western Habersham County early Sunday.
Ryan Jonathan Surls, 36, of Demorest died as a result of a head injury he sustained when he lost control of the Polaris Ranger he was operating and was thrown from the UTV,” said Habersham County Coroner Kasey McEntire.
McEntire pronounced Surls dead at the scene at 500 Mineral Springs Trail, Demorest, at 5:20 a.m.
Habersham County E-9-1-1 dispatchers were notified of the crash at 4:14 a.m.
“Our thoughts & prayers are with the family during this tragic time,” McEntire said.
