Gwinnett to host recycling drop-off for America Recycles Day

By Regan Spinks, AccessWDUN staff

To celebrate America Recycles Day, Gwinnett County is hosting a recycling drop-off event at Coolray Field on Saturday, Nov. 14.

From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Gwinnett residents will be able to drop off paper for shredding and electronics and latex paint for recycling. Each vehicle may drop off a maximum of five copier paper boxes and 10 gallons of latex paint.

Computers may be dropped off free of charge but monitors and televisions will require a $15 cash fee each. In addition, printers will each require a $5 cash fee.

Due to COVID-19, attendees are encouraged to wear masks and remain in their vehicles at all times. Recyclable materials should be placed in disposable containers or boxes in the trunks or backseats of vehicles to be removed by vendors. Boxes and containers will not be returned. To reduce congestion, residents should reserve a drop-off time slot here.

For more information, contact Gwinnett County Solid Waste Management at 770-822-7141 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday or [email protected]
