Rain washes out Hartwell, Fall Nationals Series at Senoia

With the racing season winding down for 2020, you would think Mother Nature would want to help get the final pages in the history book for the year.

But you would be wrong.

Rain and stormy weather washed out a pair of Peach State raceways on Saturday night, pushing their planned programs into November.

Georgia’s Hartwell Speedway was set to host the ninth annual Pause For The Cause cancer remembrance event on Saturday. The race program had progressed through heat races and qualifying before the rains moved in over the 3/8-mile raceway.

After working to keep the track in race condition, the wet weather finally won out, leading track officials to call the race for the night.

The race has been rescheduled for Saturday, November 7. For more information, visit Hartwell-Speedway.com.

Georgia’s Senoia Raceway was scheduled to host the Billy Clanton Classic for the Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals Series on Saturday night. But the wet weather forecast for the Senoia area led series officials to postpone the event.

That race will now be held on Saturday, November 21. For more information on the Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals Series, visit SouthernNationalsSeries.com.
