Gainesville man arrested for public indecency

By AccessWDUN staff

A Gainesville man faces charges including public indecency and criminal trespass for performing an indecent act Thursday in the yard of a Gainesville home.

According to a report from the Hall County Sheriff's Office, Roberto Gomez, Jr., age 30, knocked on the door of the home on Green Leaf Lane around 12:40 p.m. and asked the 19-year-old female victim, who answered the door, if she needed any yard work or other small jobs done. Gomez also asked the victim if she would like to go to his home and listen to music. She declined, then closed and locked the door.

Gomez left the driveway of the home, then returned and began masturbating in the yard. The report said that Gomez then went into a male complaintant's vehicle at the home and continued masturbating.

Deputies arrived at the home and found Gomez, who was still there, and arrested him without incident.

Gomez faces two counts of public indecency/indecent exposure, loitering or prowling and criminal trespass. As of this afternoon, he is being held in the Hall County Jail on a $5,200 bond.

The investigation is active.
