Two Gainesville residents among Georgia Trend's 100 Most Influential Georgians

Two Gainesville residents, Carol Burrell and Butch Miller, are included on Georgia Trend's list of the 100 Most Influential Georgians of 2019.

Burrell is President & CEO of Northeast Georgia Health System and Miller serves as President Pro-Tem of the Georgia Senate.

Other Northeast Georgians included this year are Matt Arthur, Rabun County, Commissioner, Technical College System of Georgia; Gary Black, Commerce, Georgia Agriculture Commissioner;  Steve Gooch, Dahlonega, Majority Whip, Georgia Senate; Russell McMurry, Buford, Commissioner, Georgia Department of Transportation; and, David Ralston, Blue Ridge, Speaker, Georgia House of Representatives.

Of this year's class, the business magazine says on its Website "Not only are they successful in their careers, but they also wield remarkable power and influence and have contributed to making life better for Georgians."
