Martin Truex, Jr. recovered from a late spin to score his second straight Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoff victory on Saturday night at Richmond Raceway.
On this week's edition of the Hard Left Turn podcast, Brandon Reed, Pete McCole and Amy Henderson review Saturday's Federated Auto Parts 400 and the second race of the NASCAR Cup Playoffs, including:
-Truex, Jr. passed teammate Kyle Busch with 25 laps to go after spinning off the front bumper of Ricky Stenhouse, Jr., and went on to score the win on Saturday night.
-It looked like Joe Gibbs Racing would sweep the top four spots on Saturday night, but Erik Jones failed in post race tech, putting him behind the eight ball if he hopes to continue in the Playoffs.
-Ryan Newman finished in fifth, going from dead last to 12 points above the cutoff in points in the Playoffs in just two races.
-A run in with Austin Dillon has put the Playoff hopes of Hendrick Motorsports' William Byron and Alex Bowman in jeopardy heading into Charlotte.
-We preview the NASCAR race weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
