The railroad crossing at Lights Ferry Road in Flowery Branch will be closed all day Wednesday for annual maintenance by Norfolk Southern crews.
The Flowery Branch Police Department has posted a notice about the closing on its Facebook page, hoping to give motorists advance warning and urging that they plan to use alternate routes that day.
"We recommend that drivers use the crossings at Spring Street and Radford Road, or you can utilize Gaines Ferry Road and H.F. Reed Industrial Parkway which are not affected...", according to the posting.
