It’s about 950 miles from Senoia, Georgia to Jukasa Motor Speedway in Hagersville, Ontario.
For Bubba Pollard, the trip was worth $75,000 (CAD).
The Georgia short track ace captured the 2019 edition of the Canadian Short Track Nationals Pro Late Model race on the 5/8ths mile paved oval, located about and hour and a half east of Niagara Falls.
It’s the second straight victory for Pollard after winning the inaugural running last year.
Pollard took the lead on lap 238, and then stretched his lead over pole winner Eddie MacDonald. Pollard cruised under the checkered flag to record the victory, while MacDonald was flagged in second.
Macdonald, however, was disqualified in post-race tech for an ignition box infraction, moving Ontario racer Matt Pritko into second.
JR Fitzpatrick finished in third, with Colin Garrett in fourth and Brandon Watson in fifth.
Derek Ramstrom, Patrick Laperle, Dawson Fletcher, Andrew Gresel and Chris Davidson rounded out the top ten.
