Winger wins SAS Michael Head, Jr. Memorial at Senoia

SENOIA, Ga. - Ashton Winger led wire-to-wire en route to the win in Saturday night’s 22nd annual Michael Head, Jr. Memorial for the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series at Georgia’s Senoia Raceway.

Winger, who hails from nearby Hampton, Georgia, started the night on the pole, then led all 54 laps to score the victory and the $5, 454 payday.

Winger did find a challenger in outside pole sitter Zach Leonhardi, along with Michael Page and Dalton Cook. Each time, Winger was up to the challenge and held on to the top spot.

Michael Page came home in the second spot, with cook in third, David Breazeale in fourth and Leonhardi in fifth.

Clint Smith, Mason Massey, Billy Franklin, Ryan Crane and Matt Dooley rounded out the top ten.
