By Jeff Hart Sports Reporter

FLOWERY BRANCH — The Atlanta Falcons agreed to terms with defensive tackle Stefan Charles, tight end Thomas Duarte and kicker Blair Walsh.

To make room for these moves, the team has waived WR Shawn Bane, G Tommy Doles and WR Kahlil Lewis.

Charles was signed by the Tennessee Titans in 2013 as a college free agent following the draft. He also spent time with the Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions. The Canadian played at University of Regina, totaling 50 tackles, including 19.5 for a loss, and 9.5 sacks in 22 games.

Duarte was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the seventh round of the 2016 Draft and spent most of his two seasons with the Dolphins on their practice squad. The six-foot-two pro went to UCLA and totaled 97 receptions for 1,626 yards, including 17 touchdowns, in 38 games played.

Walsh was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the sixth round (175th overall) of the 2012 Draft. In five years with the Vikings, the Georgia alum converted 133-of-158 field goals, including 24 field goals at 50-plus yards. In 2017, the Seattle Seahawks signed the free agent and Walsh made 21-of-29 field goals, including a season long 49 yards.
