Four arrested after task force raids suspected drug house in Alpharetta

By AccessWDUN Staff

A suspected drug house in Alpharetta was shut down following a raid last Thursday by the John's Creek-Alpharetta-Forsyth County (JCAF) Drug Task Force.

A social media post on the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety's Facebook page said drug agents, along with members of Alpharetta's newly-formed Community Response Team (CRT), executed a search warrant at the house at 474 Michael Drive after receiving anonymous community tips and information from law enforcement sources.

"When the officers entered the house they found heroin, fentanyl, methamphetamine and illegally-possessed prescription pills all over the house," the post read. "The house was filthy with rotting food, used syringes and other drug-related objects, and knives covering the floor."

Agents found a 6-month-old baby living in the house; one of the suspects was the parent of the infant. Fulton County DFACS responded and turned the child over into the custody of grandparents, according to police.

"In the backyard, a closed trailer was found to be the home of two dogs. With no moving air, 90 degrees outside, and no food or water, these malnourished animals were turned over to Fulton County Animal Control where they are currently recovering," the post read. "One of the dogs is suspected of having an untreated broken leg."

According to information from the Facebook post, Justin Walker was charged with sale of heroin, sale of Schedule I drugs, possession of heroin, possession of Schedule I drugs and drug-related objects and cruelty to animals; Randolph Echols was charged with possession of cocaine and drug-related objects; Preston Nolan was charged with possession of Schedule I Drugs and drug-related objects; and Swantia' Lawler was charged with cruelty to children in the first degree.
