Falcons acquire a conditional pick from Patriots

FLOWERY BRANCH — The Falcons have traded tight end Eric Saubert to the New England Patriots in exchange for a conditional draft pick.
 
Through two seasons, Saubert has seen action in 30 games with one start, recording five catches for 47 yards for an average of 9.7 yards per catch. Last season, the fifth-round pick out of Drake saw action in all 16 games with one start, tallying a career-best five catches for 48 yards (9.6 yards per catch).
 
Following the trade, the Falcons are currently carrying five tight ends – 2018 Pro Bowler Austin Hooper, Luke Stocker, Logan Paulsen, Jaeden Graham and Alex Gray.
