Last season, Kevin Harvick had scored six Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series victories by this time. But going into this weekend, he hadn't made any trips to victory lane this season.
But that all changed on Sunday, as Harvick used strategy to record his first win of 2019 at New Hampshire.
On this week's edition of the Hard Left Turn podcast, Brandon Reed, Pete McCole and Amy Henderson have a look at the action from New Hampshire Motor Speedway, including:
-Kevin Harvick stayed out on old tires, then held off a final lap charge from Denny Hamlin to score the win Sunday at Loudon.
-Denny Hamlin led much of the latter half of the race, but had to settle for second in the end. What kind of a statement did he and the No. 11 team make for the stretch to the Playoffs?
-Kyle Busch led the most laps, but a pair of incidents buried him in the field. He finished eighth. Guess what? He wasn't happy.
-Matt DiBenedetto turned in a very strong run in the No. 95 Toyota, finishing the day in fifth place.
-Plus, we preview this weekend's Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series at Pocono Raceway, while the Xfinity Series heads for Iowa Speedway.
