*Gainesville Eye Associates ophthalmologists Dr. Jack Chapman, Dr. Clayton Blehm, and Dr. Lori Lebow have been ranked among Castle Connolly’s Top Doctors in the Atlanta area. Chapman and Blehm were also recognized for the honor in the July Top Doctors issue of Atlanta magazine.

*The North Georgia Technical College Phi Beta Lambda Clarkesville and Blairsville chapters recently competed in various contests and networking events at the PBL National Conference in San Antonio, Texas. Thirteen NGTC students competed, and the college brought home four national awards.

*Featuring a mixture of music and family fun capped by a fireworks show, the 21st annual Starlight Celebration is set for Aug. 24 on the University of North Georgia's Gainesville Campus. For more information, visit the Starlight Celebration event page.

*The Habersham County Adult Men’s Baseball League is set to begin its twelfth season this fall.  The league is for men living in Habersham or surrounding counties who have graduated high school and are at least 18 years of age. Team and individual applications and questions may be submitted to Justin Scali at [email protected] or (706)778-3000 ext. 1530.

*The WorkSource Georgia Mountains Career Coach will participate in Goodwill's Job Fair on Tuesday, July 30, from 11 AM – 2 PM. The event is being held at the Interactive College of Technology, located at 2323 Browns Bridge Rd. Gainesville.   Experts will be on hand to help job seekers search and apply for jobs, write resumes and cover letters, discern their career interests, and learn about funded training opportunities. There is no charge for this service.
