Public to get first look at new Hall County Parks Master Plan this week

By AccessWDUN Staff
After eight months of work, officials with Hall County's Parks & Leisure Services are ready to unveil a Parks Master Plan to the public this week.

Mike Little, Director of Hall County Parks & Leisure, announced the beginning of the process in October 2018. Since that time, parks officials have conducted research through online surveys and public meetings, and they have taken inventory of current properties to see what should be maintained and what needs to be done to carry the park system into the future.

According to information released by Hall County Government this past week, the Master Plan will act as a 10-year guide, or road map, for park system operations.

The Master Plan already has been reviewed by County Administration and Parks Administration.

The public will get its first look at the Board of Commissioners meeting on July 11. The Commission meets at 6 p.m. at the County Government Center on Browns Bridge Road; the meeting is open to the public.

The Parks Master Plan will be available to view online on the Hall County Government website after July 11.
