By AccessWDUN Staff

You can play a direct role in the City of Sugar Hill's observance of the 50th anniversary of the first manned landing on the moon.

The town is partnering with the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Ala., on a Global Rocket Launch later this month, joining with organizations and individuals from around the world to launch model rockets in honor of the mission.

Sugar Hill will host a community rocket building activity followed by a community rocket launch on July 16.  Details concerning the specific place and time of the building and launch activities as well as if materials will be supplied will be available on the city's website www.cityofsugarhill.com/rocketlaunch and on the city’s social media channels @cityofsugarhill.
