Plans are in the works for a hotel and companion shopping center in the Rabbittown area.
The location is at East Crescent Drive and Jesse Jewell Parkway. WS Hotels LLC is asking that 5.5 acres be rezoned to Highway Business to clear the way for the development.
Plans call for a Woodsprings Signature Hotel and a 7,500 square foot shopping center on the site. According to Hall County Planning Department documents, the hotel would be marketed to "economy-minded business travelers."
The county planning commission is scheduled to consider the proposal on July 15.
