DNR crews recover body of man drowned in Lake Lanier

Search crews recovered the body of the Atlanta man who went missing in the waters of Lake Lanier over the weekend.

DNR Spokesman Mark McKinnon said game wardens found the body of 28-year old Corey Lamar Brown near Vann's Tavern Park in 26 feet of water where he went missing Friday night using sonar technology.

A number of people were swimming off of a pontoon boat in the lake in Forsyth County when someone started having some trouble.

Brown was one of the people who jumped in to help, only he started having trouble and went under.

Two other people were rescued by game wardens.
