Jackson EMC: Over 1k customers without power after early morning storms

After early morning thunderstorms swept across the region, Jackson EMC officials are reporting some members may be without power.
 
As of 9 a.m., spokeswoman April Sorrow reported 1,081 members were without power in Banks, Madison, Jackson, Franklin, Gwinnett, Hall and Barrow counties.
 
The majority of outages were in Banks County, with 843 customers without power. 180 customers were without in Madison County, 39 in Jackson County and 13 in Franklin. In Hall, Gwinnett and Barrow counties, less than three customers each were affected.
 
Sorrow said in an email statement that line crews have been dispatched to restore the outages. Updates can be found on the Jackson EMC outage map.
