Not rain, not delays, not overtime challenges could keep Joey Logano out of victory lane at Michigan International Speedway on Monday afternoon.
With the win, Logano erases doubts of being able to defend his series championship in the fall. Brandon Reed, Pete McCole and Amy Henderson are back - albeit a few days late thanks to rain and scheduling - to break down the weekend in the Irish Hills, including:
-Logano led 163 of the 203 laps on Monday, and was all but unstoppable in Monday afternoon's rain delayed Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Michigan. Where did such a run come from?
-Meanwhile, Kurt Busch, Kyle Busch and Martin Truex, Jr. felt the final restart might have been jumped by Logano. Did he go early or not?
-While the cars seemed to be racing closer, there didn't seem to be the horsepower needed to complete a pass with the aero package at Michigan.
-Greg Biffle is suddenly on a lot of folks radars again, as the NASCAR veteran returned from a three-year layoff to win Friday night's Gander Outdoors NASCAR Cup Series win at Texas.
