Mark Smith swept the USCS Sprint Car Series race weekend in North Georgia.
The Sanbury, Pennsylvania racer started the weekend with a win at Georgia’s Lavonia Speedway on Friday night, and then followed up with a victory at Georgia’s Blue Ridge Motorsports Park on Saturday night.
It marked the seventh and eighth series victory of the season for Smith.
On Friday, Smith starting from the pole, drove to the lead and then held off series points leader Terry Gray for the win at the 3/8-mile clay Lavonia Speedway.
Gray had to settle for second, with Justin Barger in third, Johnny Bridges in fourth and Mark Ruel, Jr. in fifth.
Earlier in the evening, Gray scored the win in the first heat race as well as in the Speed Dash, while Smith took the victory in the second heat race.
On Saturday night, the series moved to Blue Ridge Motorsports Park. After starting from the second starting spot, Smith again drove to the lead. From there, he went on to score the win at the 3/8-mile clay oval.
Barger chased Smith to finish line in second, with Johnny Bridges, Morgan Turpen and Ruel, Jr. rounding out the top five.
Barger and R.J. Jacobs won in their respective heat races, while Smith won in the Speed Dash.
