A 23-year-old Gainesville man was killed in a crash with a tractor trailer on Browns Bridge Road early Friday morning.
Gainesville Police Department Cpl. Jessica Van said officers were called to the scene around 2 a.m. on May 31.
Van said they found a Mitsubishi Montero, driven by Francisco Morales, had collided with a tractor trailer at the intersection of Green Crest Drive and Browns Bridge Road.
"The preliminary investigation determined that Morales was on Green Crest Drive and failed to yield to the tractor trailer traveling eastbound on Browns Bridge Road," Van wrote in an email statement.
She said Morales was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.
