Georgia-Florida game time has been set

CBS released its 2019 college football schedule broadcast windows and games on Wednesday.

The network will again showcase the best Southeastern Conference games each week during the college football season, including the SEC Championship in Atlanta on Dec. 7 at 4 p.m.

The Georgia–Florida game in Jacksonville will be played in its usual time slot on Nov. 2 at 3:30 p.m. on CBS. As of now, the Florida game is the only announced game time on the Bulldogs' schedule.

The network will open its schedule on Sept. 14 with South Carolina hosting Alabama at 3:30 p.m.

In the past, CBS has traditionally scheduled a doubleheader on the weekend of the LSU–Alabama game, slated this year for Nov. 9. The network's two SEC doubleheaders are scheduled on Sept. 21 and Nov. 16.

The irony of Sept. 21, Georgia hosts Notre Dame and Tennessee travels to Florida on that Saturday.

A quick check of Notre Dame's schedule reveals seven of the 12 Irish games will be televised on NBC, one on ESPN and four haven't been assigned to a network or have a kickoff time — Georgia–Notre Dame is one of those four to be determined.

CBS could slot the Tennessee–Florida battle in The Swamp for the 3:30 p.m. and push the UGA–Notre Dame game in Athens to 8 p.m. Most likely, CBS will use its six – 12-day grace period prior to their broadcast date to officially select the matchups.
