A 30-year-old south Georgia man drowns after falling from a Personal Watercraft in Lake Lanier Saturday.
Hall County Sheriff's Office investigators say Reginald Whitehead of Perry went into water at the Shoal Creek boat ramp around 8:30 p.m. and became distressed.
Efforts were made by witnesses to attempt to rescue Whithead, but they were unsuccessful.
His body was recovered around 10:45 p.m..
Family members tell investigators Whitehead was not wearing a life jacket and did not know how to swim.
